We are able to make virtually any product in leather and bespoke items can be made in small quantities even in bespoke leathers for example the minimum quantity of the bags in the range featured is as low as a 100 units per design”

Leather Business Launches ipad mini and ipad air cases

The Leather Business has launched new cases for the ipad mini and the ipad air. The cases are adjustable and can be used either in landscape or portrait mode.

Both are bound in Melbourne full hide grained nappa leather which gives an upmarket finish and a feel of quality.

John Thorp said:
“We displayed both items at the Trade Only Show and on the AGF Road Shows and they were very well received by all the distributors who saw them. The items are competitively priced  and subject to stock are available on a 5-7 day lead time”

Bespoke bags in less than a month

The Leather Business recently produced 200 bespoke messenger bags and 2000 passport wallets in less than a month. The order was placed on the 15th of April and the goods were collected from The LB warehouse on the 14th of May. The order was produced completely from scratch the leather had to be made which took nearly 3 weeks then the items produced and shipped to the UK from India. Commenting on this achievement Leather Business MD John Thorp said “it was a great team effort with the factory working overtime and weekends and our freight forwarders working miracles as well. We really were faced with the choice secure a large order and make it happen or turn it down we were able to make it happen. The bag is made from the new contemporary Chesterfield raw unlined leather and has a really modern look and feel to it.

The Leather Business has also  been involved in several high end bespoke bag projects of late –the attaché case illustrated is a good example its made from high quality hides and is suede lined it simply exudes quality and class. This is just one of a range of bags including weekender and travel bags which were developed for the same client.

John Thorp makes the point:
"That as the market picks up large multi nationals want to be able to offer clients high quality products at competitive prices. With our factory’s expertise we are able to make ranges of products with a very high perceived value at a reasonable price. If the end user is giving a gift to someone who has just bought a £100,000 plus car it has to be a gift that the customer would be happy to use high quality leather goods will always fit into that category"

The Leather Business launches ipad folders

The Leather Business has introduced two folders with specific ipad pockets one being made in Malvern leather (PMA4-MS2ipad) and the other in Melbourne (LBA4-MS2ipad) leather both are zipped for extra security. Also illustrated is a bespoke folder which incorporates an ipad stand as well as featuring all the normal folder features.

The Leather Business’s John Thorp commented:
“We stock a wide range of folders  available on a 5-7 day lead  time to suit all budgets and styles and have recently introduced the new Ipad folders which have been well received. It is interesting however to note the amount of bespoke folders which we are making to serve a particular and specific purpose. The fact that we will make as few as 50 bespoke folders give the client the opportunity to design the layout to suit a particular purpose many companies are going down this route rather than taking a standard product which doesn’t totally fulfil their needs. With lead times by air  of around 5-6 weeks many companies are prepared to wait for a product to meet their exact requirements “

The range is offered in dark brown full hide which again makes it a little bit different from the usual black so it gives the opportunity to be noticed and be different”

The Leather Business announces that it will shortly be able to offer digital printing on its Burlington Soft feel PU range and on its smooth Malvern and Warwick leather ranges.

We have had a terrific response from customers who have seen the printing during the January exhibition season and we have already had many enquiries. On flat items such as the A5 book (illustrated) we can even offer a full flood on the front cover”
